The effects of hydrocooling and modified atmosphere packaging system on storage period and quality criteria of sweet cherry cv. Aksehir Napolyonu.

Cherry fruits (cv. Aksehir Napolyonu) were hydrocooled and stored under modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) system. Flesh firmness of cherries stored in MAP decreased after 5 weeks of storage, while pH increased from 4.0 to 4.5. Results showed that hydrocooled cherries can be stored for 5 weeks in MAP at 0.5 deg C.
