Chlorophyll fluorescence of cucumber fruits Aramis F1 as affected by storage conditions.

The chlorophyll fluorescence changes of cucumber fruits Aramis F1 cv. stored in perforated polyethylene bags (perforation 0.001%) or without packagings at 1.5, 12.5 or 20 deg C were studied. The significant decrease of relative variable fluorescence of cucumber fruits at 1.5 deg C after 7 days of storage compared to 12.5 or 20 deg C was found. The cucumber fruits stored in packagings (1.5 or 20 deg C) were characterized by a slower decrease of relative variable fluorescence compared with non-packaged ones.
