Effects of different fungicides and packing treatments on physiology, quality and storability of sweet cherry.

Changes in physiology and quality attributes of sweet cherry treated with different fungicides and packaging films during storage periods were investigated. The results showed that fungicides and packaging significantly decreased fruit decay, maintained firmness and colour, slowed down the reduction of vitamin C and titratable acidity, and inhibited ethylene and ethanol productions, but did not affect total soluble solids of sweet cherry during storage periods. Although there were differences in controlling fruit decay, delaying senescence and maintaining quality among the different treatments, bio-fungicide number 1 combined with polyethylene film II showed the best results.
