Effects of storage temperatures and individual packaging on the occurrence of "Kohansho" of Hassaku fruit.

After postharvest storage at 5 deg C, Hassaku (Citrus hassaku) fruits were transferred to a room held at 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 deg C and evaluated for the occurrence of Kohansho [oleocellosis], a physiological disorder. A role for carbon dioxide in Kohansho development is suggested.
