Postharvest Physiology and Technology of Longan cv. Daw in Thailand-A Review
This paper reviews the progresses of the postharvest research of longan cv. Daw over recent years in Thailand. It reports studies on physiological effects: pericarp browning; postharvest diseases and chilling injury disorder. These studies have focused on sulfur dioxide situation and alternative treatments included storage development. Precooling and postharvest factors studies are emphasized so as to effectively reduce the postharvest losses of longan before cold chain management.
